HEY JUDE -
THE BEATLES
SONGWRITERS: MCCARTNEY
Hey jude,
don't make it bad.
Take a sad
song and make it better.
Remember
to let her into your heart,
Then you
can start to make it better.
Hey jude,
don't be afraid.
You were
made to go out and get her.
The minute
you let her under your skin,
Then you
begin to make it better.
And
anytime you feel the pain, hey jude, refrain,
Don't
carry the world upon your shoulders.
For well
you know that it's a fool who plays it cool
By making
his world a little colder.
Hey jude,
don't let me down.
You have
found her, now go and get her.
Remember
to let her into your heart,
Then you
can start to make it better.
So let it
out and let it in, hey jude, begin,
Youre
waiting for someone to perform with.
And don't
you know that it's just you, hey jude, you'll do,
The
movement you need is on your shoulder.
Hey jude,
don't make it bad.
Take a sad
song and make it better.
Remember
to let her under your skin,
Then
you'll begin to make it
Better
better better better better better, oh.
Na na na
na na ,na na na, hey jude...
PERSONAL
RESPONSE
The song that i
have chosen is about a story behind entitled Hey Jude. The composer and the lyricist of this song are by Paul McCartney. This song has been sing by the Beatles.
The Beatles is a band that consists of four group
members. Paul McCartney was born on the 18th
June 1942 in Walton Hospital, Liverpool, England. Today, he is a 71 years old guy who lives in America. Guinness
World Records described McCartney as the "most
successful composer and recording artist of all time"; with 60 gold discs and sales of over 100 million
albums and 100 million singles, and as the "most successful
songwriter" in United Kingdom chart history.
This
song is to help young Julian to deal with the stress of his parent’s, Cynthia
and John Lennon, divorce. John has an affair with Japanese Avant, Yoko Ono.
Before this, the title of this song is “is hey Jules” from Julian’s nickname.
McCartney eventually swapped “Jules” for “Jude” because it sounds better.
My
response is what impressed me most about this songs in an inspirational for
old-school. As we know not many teenagers now like kind of of this music. I
love to hear this song because it makes me comfortable when I’m facing problem.
So, this song also gives us more message, moral value and determination to
facing the problem.
This
song changes my view on how to see what happens today in our daily life. The
effect from the divorced parents to their child. I am very impressed with this song because it
gives me strength whenever I listen to it. Don’t simply take a problem with sad
feelings when we can solve the problem to be better.
Now,
let’s move on to the song itself. In my personal opinion, this song contains
values and loves. While others are support and positive thinking. When people
talk about divorce, I will think of the people who are facing the situation of the
problem. “Don’t carry the world upon your
shoulder.” Why? The answer is because you are not alone; you have others to
help you.
The most catchy and most attractive lines is “Hey Jude,
don’t make it bad, take a sad song and make it better”. Don’t face the
situation by judging what had happened was all bad. Not at all, only half of
them. Take a sad song means we need to
solve the problem with its melody. Don’t react with the same action to all
problems. Problems might break you down but even if you are wrong you can still
learn something valuable.
The
one word, ‘better’ describes the whole song. Actually, the writer tries to comfort
Julian instead of the listeners. It is because the song is all about how to
face the problem when you have a problem. In life for example, there will be so
many challenges that you will face. You will only be able to overcome it by
solving it. It will be hard when you are facing it alone especially when you
are not used to it. Certainly you will need help and also friends in your life.
As
a conclusion, I love this song very much because it makes me calm and give
sprit to face the problem. I hope to all, when we had a problem, we need to
solve it quickly as possible.
